This policy details the type of information we collect, how it is stored and used, and your rights with respect to your personal information. For any questions and concerns about this policy, please contact the Coder Lanes team by email at privacy@coderlanes.com.
What Personal Information We Collect
Coder Lanes will collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary. In general, the information we collect includes name, email, phone number, age, pronouns, family relation to other Coder Lanes students, and academic learning records like class attendance, class project data, and class completion dates. We also automatically collect site usage metrics to improve our services.
We may collect personal information at any stage of the user’s learning journey with us – during the enrollment and payment process, during the class, and later after class completion. We also collect information from employment applicants, employees, and contractors.
The Coder Lanes Website
The Coder Lanes website at https://coderlanes.com is public and does not require logging in, so users are not expected to sign up or directly provide their personal information when browsing the website pages or accessing exercise materials. We may however automatically collect usage information and some personally identifying information (such as a unique device ID, your browser type, operating system, connection details, location, ISP, IP address, visited pages, and visit times) to help us improve our services and marketing programs. This Privacy Policy in no way restricts our collection and use of this usage information, and we may share it with third parties for various purposes. This usage information may be stored in our system or at a service provider. Also note that our third party providers may use cookies and beacons for the services they perform on our behalf.

During the enrollment process, we collect the applicant’s personal information (such as name, email, phone number, age, gender, other students from the family, and payment form data) to verify proper placement into the class, processing payment, and communicate with the student or their parent/guardian for enrollment. This information will be generally collected via email or phone, and stored indefinitely.
We not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
We process and retain payment data such as checks and venmo/zelle records only for tuition payment and tracking. We do not collect, store or share credit card or other payment information.
